Once again reality is the key. In this dvd Sammy Franco goes over the most common holds that occur in the streets and how to get out of them. I like the acronym M.A.P. Very informative dvd and like I always say when you have good information, you have good power!!! Hey Mr. Franco, how bout flying me in to MD and be on the dvd for L.E.O (the M in the M.A.P)!!!

The escapes here demonstrate the use of good body mechanics (leverage, balance, etc) to maximize effectiveness as well as varying levels of force -i.e., if you are grabbed by a friend or your job requires you to restrain people then it's nice to have non lethal options to pacify them. Having "pressure tested" these techniques I believe they give you the highest percentage chance of escaping these holds - you do still need to practice the escapes. I feel that the techniques and principles here are essential and will serve you well.

"Escape Master" teaches valuable easy to learn techniques to add to your arsenal since many situations begin with a grab. Women are especially vulnerable to attacks that starts off with a grab. My wife found it very interesting and actually sat down and watched it with me. It also goes together well with the "First Strike "DVD. If you are serious about "Not Being a Victim", you need these two DVD's.

The great thing about Sammy Franco's videos & programs, is that he demonstrates "holds" & "techniques" that actually happen in "real life" situations. This video demonstrates everything from all kinds of choke holds, sleeper holds, grabs...etc....and explains (in depth), how to get out of them, in an easy to digest manner. It's a great title to have in your DVD library, even if you're NOT a full-time Martial Artist. If you want to keep yourself & your family safe, you may want to invest in some of Sammy's programs. You'll be glad you did. I have quite a few of his programs (including the Widowmaker program), and the one thing I can honestly say is that his programs work. Watch them carefully, follow his advice, and you'll learn a lot. I hope I never have to use any of my former training, but, it's nice to feel a bit safer, especially these days...

Being grabbed is a very real scenario for every human that has ever lived. We learn to grab as children, before we learn to walk. We grow up, and people use this simple concept to rule through intimidation. You don't need training to grab people, to hold onto someone, as it is wired into us. Many training systems teach how to punch and kick, but don't even consider the real need for tuition like this DVD offers us. The trouble is that we seldom get taught how to 'escape' the grabs, the grips, the holds we all have the ability to use on others. They train for trophies and fitness, not for our real needs. Here, Sammy Franco gives you all the advice and skills to never be a victim of grabs and holds again. All tuition provides differential responses based on need (using the MAP system), so you can be sure to use the required response that fits the scenario you find yourself in. I have shared the wisdom of "Escape Master" with my family. Do it for yourself, do it for your family. Get this DVD! 6 Stars.

One of the last things you want to do in a fight is have somebody else lock you up. Whether it be a headlock or whatever. You want to be able to escape from it quickly.
This dvd shows many different escapes from different holds. And this is important because the longer you are in a hold, the more chance his friends have to harm you, and they will if they get the chance. Get this dvd and you will learn how to escape the most common holds and go home at night to your family.

The techniques on the DVD are very simple. There is nothing complex to these defenses, and that makes them usable by anyone. When it comes to a real fight outside the controlled environment of the ring, a person needs reliable, usable and simple techniques; and you can find all that here. Also, Mr. Franco does a great job with his instruction and camera angles. There is nothing difficult about this DVD, but there is a ton of usable information here. You need these DVD.

Definitely one of my favorite CFA dvds!! If you want to learn simple, powerful, effective techniques for dealing with common street chokes, holds and grabs then ESCAPE MASTER is the dvd to get.
Nothing fancy, nothing tricky only easy to learn methods for dealing with these kind of attacks. As I am sure you know, most attacks , even if they start off with punches and kicks, usually wind up in some kind of choke/ grab situation. Get this dvd and practice the techniques and before you know it chokes and grabs will be something you can effectively deal with!!
I have even taught these to my wife and though she is fairly petite, she now can escape the attacks shown in the dvd. Something to think about , not just for yourself but for your loved ones also. A great dvd at a great price. Get it and you won't regret it.
