You shouldn't ground fight in the street, but if you have to this video will provide you the technical care that you will need! Warning: its reality based self defense, not mat fighting, only serious technique and movements.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Excellent introduction to the basics
Reviewer: Russell J. (Silver Spring, Maryland)

I found this to be an excellent introduction to the basics of ground fighting. It starts with reviewing the basic positions that a ground fight can occur in and then moves on to teaching you several escapes and submissions from those positions. Everything is backed up with clear and concise instructions, close ups, reviews, and tips. The author even provides drills for you to practice what is being taught. An excellent value for the amount of material presented. If you're looking to understand what is involved in ground fighting, this video should be your first purchase.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 The core essentials of ground fighting
Reviewer: Hammad (Germantown, Maryland)

Ground fighting skills are crucial for anyone who wishes to defend himself on the streets. Almost 90% of street fights go down to the ground, where an opponent can easily cause serious bodily harm to. Unfortunately, popular karate schools and other traditional martial arts neglect to teach even basic ground fighting skills, leaving their students with a false sense of security and ability. In this video, Sammy Franco outlines the core essentials of ground fighting: the different positions, grips, escapes, and common submission techniques, all illustrated by a plethora of live drills preformed by CFA students. As an introductory DVD for ground fighting, Mr. Franco aptly shows you the rudimentary ground fighting knowledge which could potentially save your life in a street altercation. In a time where UFC and mixed martial arts are more popular than ever, it is imperative that you prepare yourself for the fight to go to the ground, and Ground Fighting in the Streets is an excellent introduction to the world of ground fighting.

Sammy Franco goes into great detail of how to perform the locks and chokes in this DVD. This should be close to the top of your list in purchasing products from this website. This is recommended because as we all know, 90% or more of street fights end up on the GROUND!

Reviewer: radetri (Providence, Rhode Island)

This video goes far beyond traditional ground fighting techniques taught in a studio. It's designed primarily for street application where tapping out isn't an option. An excellent demonstration of ground fighting positioning, escapes from mounted positions, headlocks, and traps. A clear and easy to follow demonstration of applying various chokes, holds and submission techniques. The partner drills are extremely useful. You'll want to review this film numerous times. There's much to learn.
