Out of all the knife attack Self Defense systems I have learned in 20 years...This is the GREATEST! This DVD teaches you to go beyond knife defense by NEUTRALIZING the attacker who is the foundation of the knife. By defeating the attacker- the knife is no more. The techniques are very direct and powerful to the point that even I am very impressed on how easy it is to disarm and defeat the knife attack after watching this DVD. I have confronted knife attacks since I was young and I was stabbed 3 times in my life. I wish I knew Sammy Franco's training back then in the 80'and 90's. But I am very thankful that I have learned them now and I will continue to keep learning from Contemporary Fighting Arts. Thank you, Mr. Franco!

This dvd will benefit both beginners and more advanced practitioners. Goes into detail about many aspects that are neglected by other systems. I like the fact that you use it as a flow-along guide to go through the drills and exercises. I also ordered Volume II of Control & Conquer and was very satisfied with my purchase.

This is by far the best knife defense program that I have ever seen. As usual, Sammy Franco gives you incredible instruction in the self-preservation realities of dealing against someone who wants to carve you up. I would strongly suggest getting the Control and Conquer Package, together they provide the viewer with the #1 Knife Defense Program ever put on DVD. An absolute must-have!

These skills are highly effective against a knife attack, although of course they will need to be trained - the training methods provided are outstanding and will greatly improve your chances of destroying your opponent and going home alive. As very few styles adequately cover knife defenses, I strongly recommend for any martial artist to watch this high quality dvd.

The thought of a knife attack evokes feelings of fear in most sane people; however, Sammy Franco provides instruction devoid of mysticism and full of doable techniques. Chances are you will be cut if attacked by a knife, but with this video, you can have more than a fighting chance.

The title says it all!! It seems every time I pick up the paper the number of assaults with a knife seem to be occurring more and more often. Whether its gang related or not its scary!! If you're threatened with a knife, GET AWAY!! If you can't get away make sure you know the material in Control and Conquer (Vol 1). Mr. Franco goes through all the basics that you need to know in dealing with a knife threat. Most protective stance, footwork and movement, and most importantly control techniques. I just got the DVD and have already watched it 3 times. Now its time to start practicing!

I always knew what they taught for knife defense in the dojo was worthless. When I went through infantry training in the US Army I learned how to use a knife but NOT how to defend against one. Over the past decade there have been a few reality based self defense DVDs on knife defense that have helped me learn how to defend against a blade. Sammy Franco's Control and Conquer (volume 1) is definitely one of the best. Make sure you purchase volume two also-there's no overlap at all and you only get half the story with volume 1.

From the get-go I knew this dvd is what I need. I have about 4 other styles of knife defense dvd's and they are all bullshit! Seriously, You face a knife you want to survive! Forget the conceptualized theoretical BS other instructors may espouse! Make this dvd part of your best of the best RBSD library. I'll say it forever, Sammy Franco is the best of the best in RBSD.

There's no question that facing a knife attack while unarmed is an extremely dangerous thing to do. As Mr. Franco asserts, escape is the best option. But on the streets, there may be situations where you simply can't get away. Your only hope for survival will be to fight the man unarmed. If you find yourself in that perilous situation, you'd better be prepared! This DVD shows how to neutralize an attacker armed with a knife in the safest possible way.
