The only book on the subject

Good luck finding a book on this subject. Sammy Franco shows us 'again' why he's the top of his profession. Out of the cage is a great book that shows what to do if attacked by some punk who's got mixed martial arts training. Lots of smart strategies and techniques to squash a UFC tough guy.

Another great product from Mr. Franco. A lot of guys learn MMA, not to compete, but to intimidate. This book shows you how to tip the scales in your favor. The techniques are simple, direct and to the point.

    UFC wannabe's Beware!

Sammy Franco has done it again! If you've ever wondered what to do when you face some street punk hyped up with knowledge of MMA fighting, look no further. Mr. Franco has now taken his years of experience and applied them to sound strategies of actually beating a mixed martial artist. Keep in mind you are not in a competition though...these aren't tactics you use in the cage! The list of MMA Foul Techniques alone is enough to mess up the attacker's plan. Worried about the takedown? That's covered too. I went through the entire book in a weekend, making highlights and notes of my own. If only ALL instructors of self defense taught this way! Thank you Mr. Franco for yet another resource that I plan to exhaust in my personal library.

For all those who train in Reality Based Self Defense or martial art and want to add some "street proof" defense this book is a must have. It expound mains strength and weakness of a mixed martial artist, the different fighting range, how to counter a takedown and more, all designed for Reality Based Self Defense. Definitively a good book.

Mr. Franco again produces a product that is more than worth the money you pay for it. It's a book summarizing concepts the MMA fighter knows of, and how to use, then informs the reader of the concepts and techniques he/she can use, and the details on how to perform them against the MMA aggressor that will take him by surprise. Also like Miramoto Mushashi, Mr. Franco emphasizes the importance of dedicated training, but also advises the practitioner to train in unconventional ways (i.e. not for 8 sided cage, thus the title of the book). The text is an excellent primer for someone just getting into full-spectrum self defense training without any 'take-down assault defense,' or grappling skills.
