In my line of work. I am almost always dealing with close quarter confrontations. And learning how to effectively deal with the clinch and how to fight effectively from the clinch has saved me many times. This dvd, combined with a training partner is a good training tool that will help you to function from the clinch range and to keep yourself safe. There is much more to the clinch than you can learn in a Muay Thai or such class.. and this dvd has shown me my options and I am thankful for it.

    Better than the Muay Thai

The only clinch training I have ever had was during my Muay Thai training, and Sammy's explanation as to why that type of clinching is not recommended for a street fight is right on the money. Engage with rage is worth your time and effort.

    The missing link

This is the missing link in reality based self defense. In a real self defense situation you do NOT want the fight going to the ground. Many of us understand this without a doubt. This shows you how to stop the fight from going to the ground. Learn how to keep the action on your feet. I would recommend this video to anyone serious about close quarter self defense.

    Teaches you how to fight

All the instructional on clinch fighting for the street that I have seen were just teaching Muay Thai techniques with street clothes on. The instructors could not tell the difference between the ring and the street. "Engage with Rage" is completely different- it actually teaches how to fight in the clinch in the real world of street fighting. Well worth the price!

I used to think of the clinch as "that place" where you and your opponent tangle up to either rest or when you don't know what your doing. "Engage With Rage" tells you what you can do and more importantly HOW TO SURVIVE and successfully CONTROL THE CLINCH IN YOUR FAVOR! This dvd is incredibly dynamic and educational. When you are in grappling range you need never be concerned again about what to do! Thank you Sammy Franco for another amazing dvd!!
